Terry, the FA and Chelsea.

Hats off to Chelsea but not the FA even though it did fine JT and give him a four match ban.

Unlike the sympathetic magistrate who dismissed the case against Terry Chelsea’s actions have more or less confirmed that Terry had a case to answer. The fans understandably want to stand by their skipper and it might be interesting to find out the seat number possibly held by the friendly magistrate in the Matthew Harding stand.

Turning back to the FA, I predicted that, as an England player, his match ban punishment would be less stringent than the dose dished out to Suares but whether JT will ever play for the National Team again could now be in doubt.

Racism still exists in the game and I agree with Fergie that Jason Roberts is reacting in the wrong way over the T-shirt situation. He may well be annoyed at the lack of progress as he sees it but the way to fight your corner is with your fellow pros and not alone on the outside.

the magistrate who heard terry’s case was certainly not “sympathetic”. he actually bent over backwards to justify the prosecution (which should never have been brought). that magistrate just understood the law.

Come on notagolfer, you are like the man pis***g into the wind and wondering why he is getting wet. Terry has virtually confessed his guilt by accepting his clubs version of the situation. I say again hats off to Chelsea.

dude, terry chose not to appeal because this has dragged on long enough already. chelsea are doing a publicity drive because public feeling is very “anti-terry”. you don’t know what is going on behind closed doors…no-one does.

there is no tacit admission of guilt. terry does not admit his guilt.

& regardless…your original point is wildly off-base…that magistrate was in no way “friendly” to terry. if he was “friendly” he would have dismissed the case for lack of evidence before terry’s defence had to present a case (which was requested at the time & the lack of evidence is clear as it was what the final judgement came down to). that magistrate was desperate to find against terry…he bent over backwards to find a way to do it…he just couldn’t.

Still got your head in the sand Mr. notagolfer.
Of course Chelsea are running a PR job on JT because he currently needs it and not because he is innocent.
