Bet365 used to be the place to go for an existing customer free bet offer.
Bet up to £50 in play in top games – normally Champions League ties featuring English sides – and they would match it with a free in play bet.
You had to stump up the money in the first place, and they would refund it if it lost, but it was still a decent deal.
Some punters might have matched the bet to get the best bang for their buck, but not me (ahem), I would pick a relatively safe opening bet and pick a riskier, and more lucrative in play bet.
Unfortunately those halcyon days are gone now.
This season the offer was, in my case, reduced down to an up to £10 matched bet.
My mate was only offered a fiver.
The last game where the offer applied, the same fate has fell upon me, and I am now stuck on a fiver.
I went to Twitter to complain and one punter had a £25 offer reduced to a tenner this season, so perhaps it’s not all doom and gloom and there are still some with the £50 offer available to them.
Any existing customer offer is a good thing, but it’s just a shame that it’s no longer as good as it used to me.
